Septic installation, a real Skid Pro job

Septic installation in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend.

Every system starts with the ground. A site and soil evaluation decides what your lot can take: some deep sandy or loamy ground handles a standard tank and drainfield, while the clay soils and high water tables common across the Coastal Bend often call for an aerobic treatment unit with spray heads, low-pressure dosing or drip.

Because the license is Class II, Skid Pro can install standard and nonstandard systems, so you get the system that fits the site, not the one a crew happens to know. Homes, ranches, new builds and RV parks.

How it works / Under your yard

Three systems. One right answer.

TANK DRAINFIELD: IT SOAKS INTO THE GROUND AIR + TREAT AEROBIC: TREATED WATER GOES OUT THE SPRAY HEADS DRIP: SHALLOW LINES DOSE IT INTO THE SOIL

A tank settles the solids. The liquid runs out to a drainfield and soaks into the ground. It needs soil that drains and enough room.

An aerobic unit adds air to treat the water further, then treated water goes out through spray heads. Common on clay and smaller lots, and Texas requires a maintenance contract on it.

Treated water is dosed through small drip lines buried shallow. It's an option where the ground is tight or the layout is tricky.

How it goes.

Look at the ground

Soil, slope, lot lines, wells and where the house sits decide the system.

Design and permit

The design goes to the permitting authority. Nothing gets dug until it's approved.

Dig and set

Our own excavator and backhoe dig, set the tanks and build the drainfield or spray area.

Inspect and clean up

The install is inspected, backfilled, graded and left neat.

Septic installation, a Skid Pro job
Ask us yourself
Do I need a permit for a new septic system in Texas?

Yes. In Texas a new or replacement on-site sewage facility needs a permit from the local permitting authority, which is a county or city office authorized by TCEQ, or TCEQ itself. It also has to be installed by a licensed installer. We handle the permit as part of the job.

What kind of septic system will I need?

It depends on your soil, your lot and your house. Deep, well-drained soil can often take a standard tank and drainfield. Clay, shallow soil or a high water table, which are common near the bays and across the farm country, usually means an aerobic system or another nonstandard design.

How long does a septic install take?

Once the permit is approved, most home installs take a few days on site, weather permitting. The permit step usually takes the longest, and that depends on the county.

How much does a septic system cost in Texas?

It depends on the system and the ground. A standard tank and drainfield usually costs less than an aerobic system, and clay soil, a high water table or a long run from the house add work. Every job gets a free, written, itemized quote, so you know the price before anything is dug.

Do you install septic for ranches and RV parks?

Yes. Ranch homes, barns with living quarters and RV parks are regular work for us, along with new homes and replacements.
